What attracted you to Starbucks?

I wanted to get experience in the service sector. I noticed an opportunity at Starbucks and I liked the fact that it’s multinational and there’s lots of diversity – with people from all over the world.

Can you briefly describe your current role within the organisation?

As a Shift Supervisor I serve our customers with passion, whilst also supporting the team during shifts and supporting the Store Manager when he needs it. 

What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy the flexibility and the chance to work with people from different backgrounds and nationalities – we respect each other’s cultures and differences. I also love working with our customers. 

What support and training opportunities have you had since joining?

I started as a Barista and after completing my Supervisor training, I became a qualified Shift Supervisor.  I’ve also had other training opportunities to support me to make the perfect beverage.

And finally, if you had to describe Starbucks as one of your coffees, what would it be, and why?

I would describe Starbucks as one our multi region blends – as there’s so much diversity. You get to know people from all over the world and learn about their cultures. As with our coffees we get our different flavours each time – and it’s the same with working here.  Every day is different.
