Store Opportunities
Baristas and Shift Supervisors
For starters you’ll need to complete an application form. To make this easy, you’ll find this either in one of our stores or online (it’s easy to download – just make sure you do the right one. There’s one for Northern Ireland and one for the UK).
Once you’ve filled out the form, take it to the store you’d like to work in and talk to the Store Manager. If they have a vacancy, you’ll have an interview (this might include a quick telephone interview prior to your face-to-face interview). If they’re not recruiting at the moment, don’t worry – with your permission we’ll share your details with other stores in the area in case they’re looking for new partners.
The next stage is a key part of the recruitment process: an invitation to spend time in store to complete an ‘on the job experience’. You’ll spend two to three hours with the store team, carrying out the type of duties you’ll face daily in the role, to make sure you’re absolutely comfortable with all that you’ll need to do.
If you enjoy this session and we like what we see, you’ll be offered a job and your career at Starbucks will start.
Assistant Store Managers, Store Managers and District Managers
All these vacancies are on our website. If you see something of interest, you’ll need to fill out the online application form and attach your CV (don’t worry, it’s all really user friendly).
If we like what we see, you’ll be asked to complete our innovative Virtual Job Tryout ®. This is an easy to use online tool that allows you to find out more about Starbucks and understand what it’s really like to take on a management role for us.
If you show us that you’ve got the skills to do the job, and if you want to proceed to the next stage, you’ll have an interview with one of our resourcing specialists and the hiring manager for the role. And if we’re both agreed you’re a good fit, you’ll get the chance to show your skills in-store – our ‘on the job experience’ really gives you the chance to see how you like us and vice versa.
Hopefully you’ll breeze through this. Which means an offer will be made and so starts a new stage in your working life!
