Support Centre Opportunities

This isn’t about giving you chapter and verse on our application process. But in a nutshell, once you’ve applied for a role online (you’ll know within about two weeks if you’re successful) you’ll first talk over the phone and then meet us face-to-face so we can get to know you better.  As this is your chance to experience whether Starbucks might be somewhere you’d like to work, what better way to start than with a coffee tasting. It’s a great way to break the ice and for you to get a real feel for our products and our culture first hand.  Coffee is at the heart of what we do – and we hope that you’ll be intrigued by the chance to learn more about it.

As part of getting to know each other, the number of partners you meet and who they are will vary dependant on the role. You’ll definitely get to meet your prospective line manager, and perhaps other members of the team.   The point is that we make sure that the process is right for you and the role – which might mean conference calls with partners based in our Amsterdam office, or maybe even travelling to Seattle if that’s what it takes to ensure we’re doing things right.

But don’t worry – you’ll have plenty of warning as to what’s expected of you at each stage.  And if we offer you the job and you accept, you’ll enter an immersion programme which involves working for at least two weeks in store so you get to know what it’s like to be a Barista and see how your role at the Support Centre impacts on the partners that serve our customers every day.
