As an Assistant Store Manager, you have to be in touch with everything that’s going on. You’ll support the Store Manager in all aspects of running the store – always with the aim of creating an exceptional Starbucks experience for each and every customer.
So as well as building relationships with customers, you’ll also focus on our partners too – communicating and sharing new company initiatives, as well as coaching, mentoring and motivating the team onwards to success and ever-improved sales.
What’s more you’ll start to help with the more commercial aspects of running a store – using management reports to plan store resources and stock orders, as well as seeing to it that store facilities are maintained and operational.
As you step into a management role, we’re beginning to ask a bit more from you. You’ll need experience in the retail or food and beverage industry, as well as experience managing or supervising people so you know how to do what’s needed. And because of the nature of the work, you’ll also have a track record that shows you’re comfortable dealing with numbers to make sure you help steer the store to achieve its business results.
